I just had to add Alamo Draft's own super hilarious event description:
"Dun dun. Dun dun. Dun dun dun dun DA DU DUN.
Just when you thought it was safe to drink beer and float on the water on a hot Texas night… the summer’s biggest bite-iest movie event returns for its fourth year to make that peak relaxation EVEN BETTER — but you know, with a few totally nerve-shattering jumps every now and then.
JAWS ON THE WATER is back, gobbling up the sandy shores of Volente Beach on Austin’s Lake Travis for a monthlong run of weekend “dive-in” shows.
Watch the greatest summer blockbuster chew up the screen with your feet hanging like chum in the water. Bonus, your all-inclusive ticket gets you full access to Volente Beach’s rides and attractions (Lazy Lagoon, The Sidewinder, the water slides and more!), a keepsake shark-ified inner tube with an all-new for 2018 design (spoiler alert: it includes a headrest and a cupholder!), a fireworks finale, & more!"
Another in-the-water cinema is the Hot Tub Cinema. You can rent a tub for yourself and your friends. There are several locations in the UK, one in the US and on Ibiza. Waiters cater to your hot tub serving needs. Looks like party fun.
The Sol Cinema is probably the smallest cinema out there and the cool thing is it's solar powered and mobile. It accommodates up to 8 people and has a short film video library, but you're can also show your own digital movies/videos. They off a red carpet, usherette & popcorn experience.
As it is mobile it can travel anywhere. Great for private events.
A cinema with family friendly movies for kids aged 3 to 10 years What a neat idea. Kids can play with Hot Wheels tracks and cars, a Mega Bloks wall and interactive digital screens in the lounge or slide down the slide in the cinema before or after the show.
When the show starts they get to lounge in standard, reclined or bean bag seats. There is a kid friendly menu and intermission for potty breaks. I wish I were a kid again.
The kid cinema idea is now available in different countries if you are interested.
Enjoy a 50s style movie experience sitting in a booth or at tables in these cute old cars. The food is your typical American food and they play cool old school sci-fi scenes. It feels like being catapulted into a scene of "Back to the future."
Combine a sunset cruise with a movie screening on the Thames through London. You'll get blankets and wireless headphones and snacks and drinks are sold on board. It'll be hard to focus on the movie with great sight of London left and right. Movies on the River only runs in the summer months.
The secret Cinemas is a participatory Cinema experience on a large scale with films coming to life in a spectacular way. Why secret Cinema? Because they don’t tell you much about what is to come regarding their next cinema event. To better understand their concept take a look at some videos on their homepage.
This looks so cozy. Bring your own favourite pillow and lie down on comfy beanbags with a complimentary blanket. They also offer lovely drinks and snacks.
